Buying from 3DMA

Buying from 3DMA

Where is 3DMA based?

Sydney, Australia โ€” 3DMA stands for 3D Makers Australia, and orders ship from here.

Is 3DMA an online store?

Yes, a full e-commerce store from day one. Browse the Shop, add to cart and check out; larger orders can go through Bulk Orders.

How do I contact support?

Email support@3dma.au โ€” product questions, order help and material recommendations all land in the same inbox, answered by people who print.

Choosing filament

Choosing Filament

What filament should I start with?

Core PLA. It forgives beginner settings, needs no special hardware and produces satisfying prints from day one. The Materials Guide covers where to go next.

What does "High Flow" mean on 3DMA products?

It marks materials formulated to melt and extrude reliably at the high speeds modern printers run, so fast printing doesn't cost you layer strength. On a slower printer they simply print normally.

Which materials need special printer hardware?

Three rules cover it: ABS and ASA want an enclosure and ventilation; TPU strongly prefers a direct-drive extruder; every carbon- or glass-fibre composite requires a hardened nozzle. Everything else runs on a stock modern printer.

What if I need flexible parts?

Ultra TPU-95A High Flow โ€” check its product page for the direct-drive note before ordering.

Printing & storage

Printing and Storage

Why do my prints string or look rough after the spool has been sitting out?

Moisture. Most filaments absorb humidity from the air, and wet filament strings, bubbles and prints weak โ€” PETG, TPU and composites are the worst affected. Store spools sealed with desiccant and dry them in a filament dryer before important prints.

Can PLA parts live in a hot car?

No โ€” PLA softens around 55โ€“60ยฐC, which an Australian car interior exceeds easily. For heat, step up to PETG, ABS or ASA; for outdoor sun, ASA specifically.
